Skadeforebyggende forum did not want a health website, with more of a public information. There should be a focus on people, suffering and personal stories, rather than money and financial burden

In Norway, a new hip fracture is recorded every hour. This is a strain on both the individual and their relatives. Hip fractures are a public health challenge and very costly for society. The Skadeforebyggende Forum therefore approached us to develop the Fall Barometer. A tool for municipalities, making the effects of fall prevention more evident.

Fallbarometer viser informasjon om hvor mange som rammes, hva det koster og muligheter for forebygging/kostnadsbesparing. Både på nasjonalt og kommunalt nivå.

The goal of the website is to increase understanding of the problem and the need for action, as well as to enhance the prevention of fall accidents/hip fractures. The Skadeforebyggende forum wanted to spread the message that preventing fall accidents is effective.

The client envisioned a website with simple and clear graphics. The straightforward graphics were intended to convey that the information is easy to understand. The website was to have a “serious tone” without looking overly health-related. The Skadeforebyggende Forum did not want a health-focused website, but rather one aimed at public awareness. The focus was to be on people, suffering, and personal stories, rather than on money and economic burden.

The website is also intended as a tool where journalists can quickly and easily find facts about their municipality. Politicians can compare their own municipality with neighboring ones.

The solution was a sleek website with simple graphics and information. It is possible to search for a desired municipality and view municipal statistics on hip fractures. The Skadeforebyggende Forum is very pleased with the solution and their new website.

We thank the Skadeforebyggende Forum for a great and pleasant collaboration.
